Sabrina Shelton was born in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Pepperdine University. Her creative practice often explores the intersection of art and technology, drawing from her background in both disciplines.
Exhibitions of her work have been presented at the Palm Springs Art Museum, Palm Springs, CA (2017); Payson Grammy University Affiliate Gallery, Malibu, CA (2021); and Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, Malibu, CA (2023). Her work has been included in thematic exhibitions such as Whispers from the Water (2023) and Something to do with experimentation (2021). She was the grand prize recipient of the Fogelson Award (2017). In 2023, she hosted an art auction in collaboration with the Surfrider Foundation, raising awareness and support for ocean conservation.
Alongside her studio practice, Sabrina works as a creative technologist and software engineer. She has helped develop interactive systems for museum exhibitions in Italy, France, and London. Sabrina contributed to Liminal by Pierre Huyghe (2024) at Punta della Dogana in Venice, Italy, presented by the Pinault Collection. Her work with Pixels Pixels supported the realization of Idiom by Pierre Huyghe (2024). She also contributed to the development of The Being, by Marco Perego (2025) at the Centre Pompidou-Metz in Metz, France.
She was invited to speak at Pepperdine University’s Center for Teaching Excellence AI Camp (2023) for her thesis work on Artificial Intelligence. She also participated in Pepperdine’s Academic Year Undergraduate Research Initiative (AYURI) in 2023, contributing to a faculty-student research project exploring Artificial Intelligence.
Sabrina was the technical lead for Conference Cow (2025), a full-stack web application built to streamline academic conference logistics, now in use by Pepperdine University.
